Do the gaming features actually matter?
Yes. Rapid Trigger, Rapid Tap, and Protection Mode were all tested and worked as designed. Adjustable actuation also produced a noticeable difference rather than feeling like a novelty buried in software.
That does not mean every player needs all three modes. The important point is that the features are functional enough to justify the keyboard’s enthusiast positioning.
Comfort, software, and ownership
The keys feel smooth, the build feels premium, and the low, medium, and high height adjustments make long sessions comfortable. SteelSeries GG was straightforward during testing.
The included magnetic wrist rest is more personal. Our tester preferred an older memory-foam rest that fit better. Some buyers will like the included rest; others may replace it.
What about reported wireless and software issues?
Our test did not produce a major failure. Some other owners have reported occasional 2.4 GHz reconnects, software detection problems, firmware-update trouble, or inconsistent battery behavior. Those reports should be considered, but they did not occur during our own 70+ hour test.
